Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
